Natalie: A Journey to Natural-Looking Brows

Natalie R from Milton Keynes found Bianco Beauty through an online search, seeking a solution for her faded, yellow, and uneven microbladed eyebrows that looked unnatural. Her journey with Bianco Beauty for laser tattoo removal proved to be an “absolutely amazing” experience from start to finish.

Microblading is a form of semi-permanent makeup applied to the eyebrows to create “blades” or strokes resembling individual hairs – giving the recipient the appearance of fuller, more defined eyebrows.

Laser tattoo removal experts at Bianco Beauty often advise clients that although these cosmetic tattoos are labelled “semi permanent”, some pigment is often left behind permanently, needing professional removal if you wish to return to your natural skin.

The Science Behind Why Cosmetic Tattoos Change Colours

Often, the ink used for SPMU eyebrows is custom-mixed to find the perfect shade, meaning that a combination of different pigments are blended together – such as browns, yellows, reds and oranges. When applied, this will resemble the perfect brown shade, but on a microscopic level, each different colour still exists.

When a cosmetic tattoo is removed, such as through cosmetic laser tattoo removal, some colours respond better than others. Those fast-responding colours will be removed quicker, and those more stubborn pigments are left behind, requiring more treatment.

If we look at Natalie’s eyebrows (gallery at the bottom of the page), they would have once been the perfect brown, but over time her body disposed of the darkest pigments, leaving the yellow behind. This is why Natalie’s eyebrows, which were initially darker, ended up yellow.

The Removal Process

Natalie’s microbladed eyebrows had faded significantly since they were initially applied, however the yellow pigment was left behind in her skin, resulting in bright buttery brows.

In tattoo removal, yellow is one of the most difficult colours to remove because the pigment has very little responsiveness to laser light.

Bianco’s Senior Tattoo Removal Practitioner, Bartek, opted for an approach of both saline and glycolic acid removal, and also picosecond laser tattoo removal in subsequent appointments – constantly monitoring the responsiveness of each technique to achieve the desired progress.

Natalie says she consistently received fantastic support, advice, and service throughout her removal journey. She particularly highlighted the team’s “determination to remove my stubborn, yellow brows,” which ultimately led to “unbelievable” results.

The Result

Natalie’s removal journey was a long process made up of marginal gains over time, eventually leading to restored natural eyebrows.

Tattoo removal for SPMU can be a hugely impactful process. Tattoos on the face can impact a person’s confidence and self-image, so at Bianco we strive to provide fantastic results while leaving the skin undamaged and in-tact, allowing clients to fully enjoy their natural beauty again.

For Natalie, the treatments made a “huge difference”. She no longer has uneven and dark brows, which has resulted in her appearance looking “so much softer and natural, like nothing was ever there!”

Beyond the remarkable results, Natalie also praised the “friendliest staff and amazing value for money!”

We’re so thankful to Natalie for allowing us to share her story.
